Seiichi Nomura to direct "Natural Woman"
Photographer Seiichi Nomura (58) is making his debut as a movie director this year. He has been put in charge of “Natural Woman 2010,” an adaptation of the 1987 novel “Natural Woman” by writer Rieko Matsuura (52). The story was already adapted once before in 1994, directed by Hirohisa Sasaki (48) and starring Kaori Shimamura (38) and Tamaki Ogawa (37). Nomura’s version will star gravure idol and actress Ayano Oami (25), along with model Yukari Shiomi (28). Nomura is said to have watched footage of approximately one thousand candidates before choosing the two to play the leads. “Natural Woman” depicts the relationship between a lesbian couple. The film will reportedly feature a nude scene for the two stars. For Nomura, this is familiar territory, as his past work includes nude photo shoots of celebrities such as Chiharu Komatsu (35) and Sachiko Suzuki (40). Ayumi Kinoshita (27) has also been cast in the movie, which is scheduled for release this spring
