For the second season of the hit drama “ IRIS ,” Jung Woo-sung (The Good, the Bad, and the Strange) and Cha Seung-won (City Hall) are casted. Who’s who? Can’t you guess? Jung Woo-sung will play the role of Lee Jung-woo, who works in the special forces of the national intelligence agency. As the most capable person in the unit, Jung Woo-sung’s character will have a fight with destiny over a plot of destruction. An explosive story will unfold between Jung Woo-sung and Cha Seung-won, who is the leader of the terrorist organization, “Athena.” The new season of “IRIS” is changing its name to “ Athena (Goddess of War) .” The second season will be more of a spin-off of the first, with the new cast. Now, fans are all wondering, who will take Kim Tae-hee ’s place? For now, they’re still deciding. “Athena” will start filming this coming June in Italy and Switzerland. In December, it was revealed that the Masayuki Ishikawa manga "Moyashimon" is being turned into a live-action series. It has now been learned that the drama will air this summer, and Yuichi Nakamura (22) of D-BOYS will play the starring role. The unusual story revolves around an agricultural university student named Tadayasu Sawaki (Nakamura), who possesses the unique ability to see and communicate with germs. The original manga has won multiple awards, and it was adapted as an animated series in 2007. Natsuki Kato (24) will play the role of the "sadistic" graduate student Haruka Hasegawa. Other cast members include comedians Koji Nishida (35) and Akihiro Kimura (39). Fuji TV will broadcast the series in its late-night "noitaminA" time slot (Thursdays 12:45am), starting in July.

Steven Ma and Linda Chung were promoting TVB up coming new series "A Watchdog's Tale" at the Olympian City" yesterday. Steven was worried that viewers may complain about him in the series. He told reporter "I play the role of someone who uses foul language, in particular, I often tease and make fun of Linda Chung's figure. I was worried that it may get censored, but it was not cut." Steven revealed that he had used the phrase like "flat chest" to describe Linda, but it was not meant to put woman down. This is the role he plays and he hopes viewers treat that as a comedy. Talking about the dispute between TVB and the record companies, Linda said "I am not familiar with the way a company operates. I am not hoping to increase my chance of winning an award because of the dispute. My record sales have been good this year, I have reached "Golden" status last week. My song was top of the chart even before the dispute. Nancy Wu has been nominated for the best supporting actress award, but she has no confidence in herself to win the award. Nevertheless, she still preparing herself to dress up for the event. Yesterday, she went to central district to chose some jewelries and picked a pearl set worth over one million HKD. She also tried on the most expensive jewelry in the shop worth nearly two million HKD. Nancy revealed that she would pay for herself a not too sexy vintage dress. Talking about her competing for the best supporting award, Nancy disclosed that she has no confidence to win, therefore, she has not set her hope too high. She likes to see Susan Tse and Kara Hui to win the award. However, Nancy also hopes "Rosy Business" can get the best TVB series award.

Looks like Nichkhun’ s caught the acting bug. Remember when 2PM ’s Nichkhun simply took a stab at acting . Well, this time around it looks like he’s decided to dive in headfirst and take on his first ever movie role! Nichkhun has landed himself a part in the upcoming comedy “T he Shining Diploma “. The movie tells the fictional story of mother who never graduated high school and returns to earn her diploma right as her son begins his wedding plans. Nichkhun will play the role of the mother’s second son. The film’s production team revealed that Nichkhun was chosen for the role due to his ” unique facial features” (…their words not ours). The team also stated that the idol will show audiences a very charismatic performance, a far cry from the the sweet image that he often shows on variety shows like “ Star King “. Khun’ s boss JYP will also be making a special cameo appearance in the movie. Filming for “The Shining Diploma” will begin in December.

…as a bad little school girl. T-ara ’s  Ji-yeon  will be making a special appearance in the MBC  hit sitcom, “ Highkick Through the Roof “. In the episode, Ji-yeon will play the role of a cute but rebellious teenage girl who falls in love with Jung Jun-hyuk at first sight and follows him around, pestering him. Unfortunately, as stated above, this will just be a special appearance and Ji-yeon will not be a steady character in the sitcom. So all you T-ara fans out there who don’t watch ”Highkick Through the Roof”, don’t forget to tune in this coming November 10th, to catch a glimpse of Ji-yeon.
